ποΈ Trek Overview
The Har Ki Dun Trek is a timeless Himalayan trail steeped in mythology, natural beauty, and cultural richness. Located in the Govind Ballabh Pant National Park in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, this trek takes you into the heart of a stunning hanging valley shaped like a cradle β surrounded by snow-covered peaks and alpine meadows. Often called the "Valley of Gods," Har Ki Dun is believed to be the route taken by the Pandavas to ascend to heaven, according to the Mahabharata.
This moderate trek offers a wonderful mix of dense forests, riverside campsites, remote villages, and panoramic views of the Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak ranges. It's ideal for beginners as well as nature enthusiasts looking to explore the untouched Himalayan wilderness. The trail also provides a chance to witness ancient culture in villages like Osla and Sankri, where wooden houses and folklore are still preserved.
