🏔️ Trek Overview

The Kashmir Great Lakes Trek is a breathtaking journey through some of the most scenic alpine lakes nestled in the paradise of India – Kashmir. This moderate to difficult-level trek offers a mesmerizing experience of trekking alongside seven pristine glacial lakes, each surrounded by snow-clad peaks and vibrant meadows. The trek begins from Sonamarg and ends at Naranag, unfolding surreal landscapes, blooming wildflowers, and crystal-clear water bodies along the way. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg (3–4 hours)

Arrive at Sonamarg, the base camp for the trek. Overnight stay in tents.

 

Day 2: Sonamarg to Nichnai via Shekdur (Trek – 11 km)

Begin your trek through maple and pine forests to reach Nichnai Valley. Camp by the river.

 

Day 3: Nichnai to Vishansar Lake via Nichnai Pass (Trek – 13 km)

Cross Nichnai Pass (11,500 ft) and reach the enchanting Vishansar Lake. Overnight camping.

 

Day 4: Acclimatization Day / Visit Kishansar Lake

Explore Kishansar Lake, just a short trek from Vishansar. Return to camp for acclimatization.

 

Day 5: Vishansar to Gadsar via Gadsar Pass (Trek – 14 km)

Trek to the highest point of the trek – Gadsar Pass (13,750 ft). Descend to camp near Gadsar Lake.

 

Day 6: Gadsar to Satsar Lakes (Trek – 12 km)

Hike through wildflower-filled meadows and rocky patches to reach Satsar.

 

Day 7: Satsar to Gangbal via Zaj Pass (Trek – 11 km)

A steep climb leads to Zaj Pass (13,100 ft) with stunning views of Gangbal & Nundkol Lakes.

 

Day 8: Gangbal to Naranag – Drive to Srinagar (Trek – 11 km, Drive – 3.5 hrs)

Descend through dense pine forests to reach Naranag, and drive back to Srinagar.

🔁 Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to offer a fair cancellation and refund policy for our trekkers:

  • Cancellation before 30 days from trek start date: 90% refund of the total amount.
  • Cancellation between 15-30 days: 70% refund of the total amount.
  • Cancellation between 7-14 days: 50% refund of the total amount.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days: No refund.

 

In case of government restrictions, natural calamities, or unforeseen situations where the trek cannot proceed, we will provide options for rescheduling or partial refunds based on actual expenses incurred. No refund will be issued once the trek begins or for unused services. We advise all trekkers to have adequate travel and health insurance for any emergencies.
