The Bali Pass Trek is a thrilling high-altitude adventure that takes you deep into the untouched landscapes of Uttarakhand, connecting the Har Ki Dun Valley to the Yamunotri Valley. At an altitude of 16,207 ft (4,940 m), Bali Pass is one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in the Indian Himalayas, offering unmatched views of majestic peaks like Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Bandarpoonch.

Starting from Sankri and passing through ancient Himalayan villages like Osla and Gangad, the trail leads you through alpine meadows, dense forests, glacial basins, and rugged high-mountain terrain. The trek culminates in a thrilling snow-covered pass crossing, followed by a steep descent into the sacred Yamunotri region.

This trek is perfect for seasoned trekkers seeking offbeat trails and dramatic landscapes. It requires a good level of fitness, experience in high-altitude trekking, and a love for wild, remote adventure.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive)

Scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills, passing Mussoorie and Mori, to reach Sankri village. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

 

Day 2: Sankri to Seema via Taluka (Drive + Trek)

Drive to Taluka and begin the trek to Seema, following the Supin River and dense forests. Overnight in tents or homestay.

 

Day 3: Seema to Rainbasera

Trek through scenic valleys, crossing streams and lush meadows, to reach the remote campsite at Rainbasera.

 

Day 4: Rainbasera to Ruinsara Tal

Ascend through alpine terrain to reach the stunning Ruinsara Lake, a glacial lake surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. Overnight by the lake.

 

Day 5: Ruinsara Tal to Odari

Short but steep trek to Odari, a rocky campsite at the base of Bali Pass. Acclimatization and rest for the next dayโ€™s summit push.

 

Day 6: Odari to Bali Pass Summit and down to Lower Dhamni

Early morning climb to the Bali Pass summit. Enjoy breathtaking views of Himalayan giants before descending to Lower Dhamni through snow and scree. A long, challenging day.

 

Day 7: Lower Dhamni to Janki Chatti (Trek) and Drive to Yamunotri or Stay

Trek to the holy town of Janki Chatti. Optional visit to Yamunotri Temple. Stay overnight or drive to Dehradun the next day.

 

Day 8: Janki Chatti to Dehradun (Drive)

Drive back to Dehradun, marking the end of an unforgettable Himalayan experience.

 

Day 7: Sankri to Dehradun (Drive)

Drive back to Dehradun, marking the end of a memorable Himalayan experience.

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to offer a fair cancellation and refund policy for our trekkers:

  • Cancellation before 30 days from trek start date: 90% refund of the total amount.
  • Cancellation between 15-30 days: 70% refund of the total amount.
  • Cancellation between 7-14 days: 50% refund of the total amount.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days: No refund.

 

In case of government restrictions, natural calamities, or unforeseen situations where the trek cannot proceed, we will provide options for rescheduling or partial refunds based on actual expenses incurred. No refund will be issued once the trek begins or for unused services. We advise all trekkers to have adequate travel and health insurance for any emergencies.
