The Kedarkantha Trek is one of the most popular winter treks in India, located in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary of Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand. Known for its stunning snow-covered trails, majestic Himalayan views, and charming campsites, this trek is perfect for beginners and seasoned trekkers alike. Rising to an altitude of 12,500 ft, the Kedarkantha summit offers a 360-degree view of famous peaks like Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Bandarpoonch.

🗺️ Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive – 200 km / 8-9 hrs)

Drive from Dehradun to Sankri village through scenic routes and mountain towns. Overnight stay in guesthouse or homestay.

 

Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab (Trek – 4 km)

Begin the trek with a steady climb through pine forests to Juda Ka Talab – a serene lake surrounded by dense woods. Camp overnight.

 

Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp (Trek – 4 km)

Trek through snowfields and dense forests to reach the base camp with a direct view of Kedarkantha peak. Overnight camping.

 

Day 4: Summit Day – Kedarkantha Peak and return to Hargaon Camp (Trek – 6 km)

Early morning summit push to Kedarkantha Peak for sunrise. After enjoying the view, descend to Hargaon for the night.

 

Day 5: Hargaon to Sankri (Trek – 3 km) & Drive to Dehradun

Complete the trek with a gentle descent back to Sankri. Optional stay in Sankri or depart for Dehradun.

 

Day 6 (If staying): Sankri to Dehradun

Drive back to Dehradun with unforgettable memories.

🔁 Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Himalayan Divine, we understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. To ensure clarity and fairness, we have outlined our cancellation and refund policy below:

  • Cancellation 30 days or more before departure:
    If you cancel your trek at least 30 days before the scheduled departure date, you are eligible for a 90% refund of the total trek fee. We retain only 10% as processing and administrative charges.

  • Cancellation between 15 to 29 days before departure:
    Cancellations made between 15 to 29 days before the departure date are eligible for a 50% refund. The remaining amount will be retained to cover advance bookings and operational costs.

  • Cancellation within 15 days of departure:
    No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 15 days of the trek departure. By this time, all arrangements are confirmed, and expenses are already incurred.

  • Drop-outs during the trek:
    If a participant voluntarily leaves the trek midway for personal reasons, no refund will be provided for the remaining days. Additionally, any extra costs incurred for return travel or arrangements must be borne by the participant.

  • Cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, extreme weather, or government restrictions):
    In such cases, where the trek has to be called off or rescheduled, we do not provide monetary refunds. However, we will offer a 100% trek credit, which can be redeemed for any future trek with Himalayan Divine within 12 months.

  • Replacement or Transfer of Booking:
    If you are unable to attend the trek but wish to transfer your booking to a friend or family member, you may do so at least 7 days before the departure. Please inform our team in writing with full details of the replacement participant.

  • Mode of Refund:
    All eligible refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after approval. A confirmation email will be sent once the refund is initiated.
